My presence
will go with you and I will give you rest. Exodus 33:14
The Lord is
gracious and righteous. Our God is full of compassion. The
Lord protects the simple hearted. When I was in great need, He
saved me. Be at rest once more, O my soul, for the Lord has
been good to you. Psalm 116: 5-7
This is what
the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says: "In
repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust
is your strength."
The Lord longs
to be gracious to you. He rises to show you compassion, for
the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for
Him. Isaiah 30: 15, 18
Come to me,
all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and
humble in heart and you will find rest for your souls. For my
yoke is easy and my burden is light. Matthew 11:28-30
The fruit of
righteousness will be peace. The effect of righteousness will
be quietness and confidence forever. Isaiah 32:17
Be still and
know that I am God. Psalm
46:10
You will keep
in perfect peace him whose mind is stayed on You, because he
trusts in You. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord is the
Rock eternal. Isaiah 26:3-4
Rejoice in the
Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness
be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about
anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with
thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of
God which passes all understanding, will guard your hearts and
your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:4-7
I will lie
down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell
in safety. Psalm 4:8
****When the
difficulties and stresses of life press in around us, Lord,
quiet our spirit. Help us to trust in You for You are the only
one who knows the beginning and end of our days. Whether in
crisis or peace show us how to rest.

Jesus I am
resting, resting in the joy of who Thou art. I am
finding out the greatness of Thy loving heart.
Thou hast bid
me gaze upon Thee and Thy beauty fills my soul. For by
Thy transforming power Thou hast made me whole
Oh, how great Thy loving kindness, vaster, broader than the
sea! Oh, how marvelous Thy goodness lavished all on me.
Yes, I rest in
Thee, Beloved. Know what wealth of grace is Thine. Know
Thy certainty of promise and have made it mine.
Simply

Thy love so pure, so changeless, satisfies my heart.

face upon me as I work and wait for Thee. Resting
beneath Thy smile, Lord Jesus, earth's dark shadows flee.
Brightness of
my Father's glory, sunshine of my Father's face, Keep me
